Stamps, Covers, FDCs, and Postcards Available for Sale and Trade

About

The Online Store is now open, and I will be listing many more items in the coming weeks. I primarily sell postcards, stamps, and covers, but occasionally I list other items. I have been an EBay member since 1999, and I maintain a 100% positive feedback rating. I am also a member of the American Philatelic Society (member# 219185).

I have collected stamps since I was thirteen years old. I am currently a PhD student at the University of Virginia, writing a dissertation that examines how state governments dealt with the Revolutionary War debts between 1780-1815. To learn more about my research, please check out my department profile.

I collect stamps from the United States, Sweden, Canada, and New Zealand. I also collect worldwide postal history, particularly U.S. covers from the Banknote period, and patriotic covers from the Civil War and Spanish-American War. I have a number of stamps, covers, FDCs, and postcards available for sale and trade. Please see the Contact Me page to arrange a trade or purchase an item.

Canal Zone to USA 1929 First Flight Cover UC2a FAM F5-2 Carried by Charles Lindbergh

First flight cover mailed February 6, 1929 in Balboa, Canal Zone and sent to New York City. This cover was flown by Charles Lindbergh on FAM flight F5-2 (see link to article below). Lindbergh flew from Maimi to Cristobal and back, carrying this cover on the return flight. Because the flight left from Cristobal, the Balboa postmark is less common. The use of UC2a  and C3 makes the cover even more interesting, and Scott 2009 lists a catalog value of $190.00 for a used entire of UC2a.

For an extremely interesting and informative article on this flight, please see the following link below:
